The Incomprehensible Vastness of Space

Before diving into the UFO phenomenon, it’s essential to understand just how vast the universe is. The observable universe is around 93 billion light-years in diameter. Within it are an estimated two trillion galaxies, with each galaxy housing billions to trillions of stars. If even a fraction of those stars have planets (and most recent data suggests that they likely do), then the number of planets in the universe is almost unimaginably large.

Given the sheer numbers, it seems statistically improbable that Earth is the only planet with intelligent life. The famous Drake equation, although fraught with uncertainties, still points towards the likelihood of multiple civilizations within our own galaxy alone.
