But as we study these ancient marvels, we find ourselves wondering just how they managed to construct such massive structures without the technology and machinery that we have today.
It was as if, in their quest to build monuments that would last for eternity, the people of these ancient civilizations forgot the very technologies that made it possible. The stone blocks used to construct the pyramids of Egypt, for example, weigh hundreds of tons each, and yet the exact method used to transport and place them is still unknown.
